We're off-trouble ahead

OK-So we got off on our trip thru 7 states on our way to Paducah, KY via Bedford, PA
Yes-that Pennsylvania!

Plenty of room left for goodies!

On our way across I-70 toward Effingham, our first stop was going to be the old Angie's Nine Patch, now The Wooden Spool.

BUT----Isn't there always a BUT?
I was talking about The Village Stitchery in Oblong, IL.  Connie A and I had discovered it on a trip to the lake (Lake of the Ozarks) via Olney, IL in eastern IL-another long story.

I told them that they wouldn't be sorry if we detoured out of the way for this stop.
Here we are - 1 1/2" to backtrack to Oblong, thru the countryside.

We were all really good here and didn't do MUCH damage, although we could have.
They now have a retreat center and it was unanimous that we come back and stay for a 4-day retreat.
Stay tuned-in the planning stage!

So onward we go!
Again about an hour to get back to where we left off-headed to Indianapolis.
Quick drive thru McDonalds for lunch.

First stop in Indy was Quilts Plus.
Margaret and I had been there before and couldn't wait to return.

This one was my downfall.  Spent LOTS here!  But all good stuff!

Now on to stop #3, another in Indy, but south of the city.

Sorry for the bad picture, but it was raining.

Nice store, just remodeled and couldn't find 2 patterns and 1 book that I really wanted from samples hung there.  Oh well, saved some money!

Back on the road (I-70) and headed east.
Eight hours and we are only in Indianapolis.

Stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrel (don't remember where) and drove to Springfield, OH in light rain. Had planned to post to the blog last night, but couldn't hook up to the WiFi there.  Sorry.

New Day and New Shops are on the Horizon.
Our goal today was to get to our destination, Bedford PA tonight
reservations at the Fairfield Inn-Marriott.

Margaret and Chris are anxious to get in the car and go!

First stop--

WOW-and only 2 miles from the hotel.  We couldn't have planned it better.
Nothing purchased by any of us, but if you are looking for flannels-they have 600 bolts of them!

On the road to Dublin, OH
Red Rooster Quilts
and guess what----A SALE!!!!!

25% off the bolt-50% off sale fabrics
OK-I did do some damage here-but I saved over $60
We all had a great time shopping here!

A few minutes across town and we are at Quilt Beginnings

Demos stations and another SALE.  I was good here and purchased a few things for
the girls left at home to run the shop!

No-you'll have to wait till I get back to see what we got you!

Back on the road-we have to travel and it's already afternoon.
Quick drive thru Wendy's for some energy and on the way to Zanesville, OH

YES-we are still in Ohio

#4 stop was Nonna's.  Cute little shop, we all found some goodies.
I found the fabric for my spools border and binding.
And some half yard pieces to add to y 1930's collection.

Walmart across the street, so a quick trip in to pickup the shampoo I forgot, Margaret got the hairbrush she forgot (and bananas) and not sure what Chris got.

Then back on the road to our final stop in Ohio.

I found a few miscellaneous pieces of Civil War from the sale section.

No other shops will be open so back on the road-Bedford or Bust!

LOTS of construction on I-70, dinner at Cracker Barrel again, gas and reached our destination.

Relaxing and sewing and ready for another day!
Will post tomorrow night!

Thanks for following us on our trip to Paducah LOL
