5 Day Retreat - Day 4

Well the end is drawing near, about 14 hours left and I do need to get SOME sleep.  It is going to be really hard to get back to work when your retreat day is 10 am to 5 am.  Yes, that is 5:00 in the morning on the next day!  Although someone did sleep until 2:00 in the afternoon.  Again, if you can guess who that was, I have a cup coozie with your name on it at the shop.  Just be the first one with the right answer by posting your comment below.

Pat has been busy working on getting all 24 Venetian Tiles pieced applique blocks completed before we leave.  She is on #20 right now.  I believe she will make her goal.

Carol had to leave us today, but she did get her Venetial Tiles quilt together except for the last border. She should have completed at Free Sew on Tuesday.

Margaret is working on more Army Stars.  She ran out of precut pieces, so she dug into her stash and cut enough for 42 blocks.  She has 26 made so far tonight.  But today she did piece 25 Around the Block blocks today also.

It has been quite a relaxing day.  I have been working on Tree of Life blocks and instructions for Monday night class.  I am making 2 quilts, so I have the blue/green colorway and a reproduction one as well. Lots of fussy cutting!  (I did take a nap today also).

Remember I said I may give you a hint on December Mystery Sunday---well her it is!  Not a hint but the quilt.  Maybe one of the perks of following the blog is to get a preview of what is coming before it is unveiled at the shop.

Great neutral colors and such a fast quilt to make. Only a few hours this morning!  Remember we will have kits available on the Third Sunday in December (19th).  If you would like this in a different colorway-you can pickup your FREE patterns between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.

I believe we are all suffering from overeating.  How can you go home with more food than you came with?   This is not a trick question.  We have been constantly eating and sewing and our food supply seem to be doubling overnight!    Going for more cheese and crackers, grapes and maybe a glass of wine before bed in a couple of hours.

By the way--Hayden (6 year old grandson) had his first wrestling tournament today and got a 2nd place medal.  He had two pins and lost one match on points 12-15.  Great job Hayden!!!  He likes to practice with Papa!

Will post the wrap up to our retreat tomorrow.  Or will it be today?  I think my days are noon to noon!  LOL.
