ReplyDeleteI finished the first block of Hook, Line and Sinker. Started another Sadie's keepsake .all this after watching E&E for three hours. Yea!
ReplyDeleteYesterday after the CW love letter meeting, I came home and laid out 25 2nd Sat blocks, husband called to tell me Masterchef was on, so I went downstairs to see that is was a rerun so I proceeded to stitch for 25 minutes on my "Over the hill" crabapple hill quilt. It took me another 45 minutes to get on a computer that worked to find out I didn't know where to post the comments to the blog so in facebook I went. Thanks Jan
ReplyDeleteSo I changed my needle in my machine and I'm off to sew the 25 blocks together before we decide to go somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWell I got blocks sewn together and 1 row sewed, only 3 more seams to sew and top will be done. But not right now, we are off for a few hours to play. Who is Mafoiles?

ReplyDeleteAfter weeding the flower beds due to the weeding fairies STRIKE, I too found a few of my lingering projects. I spent the majority of my day gluing and prepping the 13th block on Rosé of Sharon. I also squared up a baby quilt for the binding process and am now sitting on the front porch wa for the fireworks to start.
ReplyDeleteI have been working on the final borders on my Wildflower Rhapsody quilt since July 1st. I just finished sewing the top and bottom onto my quilt. It is finished well before my July 22nd deadline for Can Do.

Put the binding on my pomegranate around the block quilt and finished hand sewing it. Made a pillowcase to match and now it is ready for the auction next week.
ReplyDeleteI tried to post yesterday about what I sewed, but I am so computer illerate that I had to get my hubby to help me. So yesterday, I finished my 4 blocks for first ladies, and I got all 25 of them put together. Now I am ready for Saturday. I also worked on the paper pieced block that we had for last month cwll. Martha W.
ReplyDeleteI finished the first ladies (25 blocks)center top last night after we got home and before we walked down to the Marina to watch the fireworks. Nice quite holiday. Going to PT this morning at 11 a.m. and then Madison and Aiden are coming over to spend the night.

ReplyDeleteI just finished sewing the blocks for Block Swappers after hanging out with my husband most of the day including going to see Man of Steel. I will probably put sewing away for tonight. Hopefully, I will pick it up in the morning.

Last night and this morning I traced out another bird block on freezer paper and fabric. Just finished ironing it all down, how tedious. Hurrah , now I get to stitch. this will take at least two days.
ReplyDeleteUp early, the applique brid block is almost done, only 3 leaves and 4 berries to go. So off to the sewing room with my coffee to finish up. This is sew much fun.

ReplyDeleteI made my miniature flag quilt for civil war sewing circle, this evening. I will bring it to show and tell on the second Saturday. Have to go now, catching fireflies with my grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear I am not the only one with internet trouble. Friday night, Saturday and Sunday I worked on Sadie's Keepsake, while baking a wedding cake , attending a wedding and having E & E spend the night. Went to SS and church and then took them home. Long, busy weekend. Look forward to peace and quiet tonight and finishing Sadie.
ReplyDeleteJust completed the last 3 blocks for First Wives. I had already made one and incorporated it into the 25 block top. I can't wait to see the finished result. I have tried to figure the ending out, with no success.

DeleteI made a fleece blanket for my girlfriends granddaughter, Maddie. They are going to take the train to Kansas City. It's always cold on the train. I can't wait to give it to her tomarrow at work. The fleece is adorable, it has owls on it. Now I am sewing down the binding on the kaleidoscope quilt.

ReplyDeleteFinished the binding on the kaleidoscope quilt. Sewed down the sleeve and fused the label. Tomarrow I will do the stitching around the label. I am watching the All Star game . I am in love with Mariano Rivera.

ReplyDeleteWent to the glen carbon senior center today for free sew and got all my cwll blocks cut out and I sewed 3 sides of binding on my farmers wife. Looks like I will have it done for Monday's night challenge.

ReplyDeleteI am now sewing on another sewing machine and it is doing better but I still am working on getting a good quarter inch seam on it. I worked a little more on the first lady block not much because of home late but I did sew tonight.

ReplyDeleteToday while at our Heartland meeting I was able to sew the binding on the patriotic table topper (can do challenge). Had a nice presentation of modern quilts by Candy Grisham.
