Slow progress

Rest time over and now back to business.

Finished up the first of the August Civil War Love Letters block,
People and Peaches

and now on to
Pleasures of Sweet Home
paper pieced (not my favorite technique)

Can't wait to get these over tonight and the on to
the rest of the stack

of course, I couldn't get thru the paper piecing without
these

My hand project has been trying to finish embroidering
the next block for Sadie's Keepsake
and
starting on my flowers for Tree of Life border

I just love these little 1/2" hexes
Think I will make about 20 flowers to start.

Oh, guess I should mention the next winner in the
Summer Sew Challenge

Donnie drew out the number and it corresponded to
drum roll--------

Linda M's post on 7/23
"made two different blocks today"

Linda you may pick up your fabric squares at the shop anytime.

Remember to keep sewing and posting

Our last winner will be drawn next week!

  1. So I lied. Today is not my last day of work. The county has now decided to move me to the Edwardsville office for two weeks.Sooooo, I will work 40 hours a week and STILL accomplish something. Last night I got the binding sewn on my pink/brown baby quilt and on my 9 patch block swapper which I have named "Holiday Weekend". Tonight I have to bake Allora's birthday cake and am keeping Elijah this weekend, so maybe a little handwork is in order after he goes to bed. Hopefully.............

  7. I embroidered some blackwork on a project that will take a long time to finish. I also cutout two blocks for the 2nd Saturday blocks and two small wall quilts. Taking care of my dad this weekend so I do not have a machine so I thought cutting was a good thing to get done.

  8. I worked for a little bit on my Chicks Candle Mat. I forgot my invisible thread to sew on the beads for the eyes. So, I put that away and have done a little bit more on Midnight's Crow.

  10. No I do not want to jump on the Insane Train of English paper piecing. Someone will need to supply you fabric from the vault while you are doing hard time in the looney bin
